Cisco VPN
The Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network) must be used for access to most services within the University.
If you already have Cisco VPN installed go to the “Usage” section.

Installation

Cisco-VPN download with Uni-ID login:

After clicking on the link, login with your Uni-ID and password.
- You will be shown a notification (in german), asking if your operating system and antivirus-software is up to date. If it is, press continue.
Warning
If you cancel this notification or wait to long, follow the instructions given. You may not be able to reconnect otherwise.

Press download and go through the installation process; press the Instructions button on the lower right for detailed instructions.
Usage
- Open the application enter the Universities VPN server address:
vpn-ac.urz.uni-heidelberg.de
and continue

Login with your Uni-ID and password

Accept the notice (again asking in german to keep your system up to date)
